Raw Vegan Matcha Brownies


This brownie recipe is a sweet, smooth and soft textured, it is unique because it’s raw, vegan and nutty free! With a matcha frosting, you’ll surely enjoy!

Ingredients for the Brownies

1/2 cup raisins

1 cup shredded coconut

1/3 cup cacao powder

 2/3 cup pitted packed dates

2 teaspoons matcha powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

3-4 teaspoons water (depending on the moisture level of the dates)

1 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds


Instructions for Preparing the Brownies

In a food processor, combine the seeds and coconut and blend it into fine crumbs. Add the raisins, dates, cacao and matcha powder. Blend all the ingredients until everything are blended properly. Then, add 3-4 teaspoon of water slowly. The mixture is ready when it has a dough-like feeling, and the mixture will hold together when pressed by your hand.

Using a small baking pan (around 20cmx10cm), pour in the dough mixture and flatten by hand till level.


The Ingredients for Matcha Frosting

3 tablespoons maple syrup

1 1/2 teaspoons matcha

4 tablespoons warm water

1/4 cup melted coconut oil

1/3 cup mashed avocado

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/4 cup melted coconut oil


Instruction for Matcha Frosty

Combine all the ingredient for the matcha frosting in a blender, process until smooth. When done,spread on top of the brownies. You can either freeze these for 2 to 3 hours or put them in the fridge for 4 to 5 hours until they become firm.

Slice and enjoy.

1 avocado

1/3 cup vanilla (no-fat greek yogurt)

1/3 cup agave

1 cup almond flour

2 tbsp flax seed

1/3 cup chopped pistachios

2 tbsp green matcha powder



  • Blend avocado, lemon juice and zest, vanilla, green matcha powder and agave in a food processor.
  • Add in the almond flour, flax seed, and chopped pistachios, hand mix everything evenly.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Let it cool then serve!
