Matcha Brownies with Almonds & White Chocolate Recipe

Matcha Brownies with Almonds & White Chocolate Recipe submitted by one of our lovely customers Yuko using Herbal Tea Direct Regular Grade Organic Grade Matcha Green Tea Powder.



    • 16cm square baking tray, baking paper

    • Plain flour 70g

    • Matcha powder 10g

    • White chocolate  120g

    • Milk   2Tbs

    • Butter 70g

    • Caster Sugar 60g

    • Eggs  2

    • Almond slice 20g


      1. Butter and eggs are kept at room temperature. Plain flour and Matcha powder are sifted and mixed together.

      2. In a bowl, mix butter and sugar well and make a smooth cream.

      3. Gradually add beaten eggs.

      4. Add the sifted powder (Matcha and plain flower).

      5. In a microwave safe container, put white chocolate and milk, and melt chocolate in a microwave for 40sec.

      6. Add the melted chocolate.

      7. Add half of the Almond slice and mix well.

      8. Place baking paper in the baking tray. Pour in the mixture, and sprinkle the rest of the Almond slice on the top.

      9. Bake at 170oC for 18min. (cover with Foil if surface starts to burn or brown.)
